At Photography by Golota we prefer to take "natural setting" portraits.  A portrait can be taken just about anywhere you choose.  Images have been taken at Scusset Beach, Dowses Beach, Borderland State Park, and can even be taken in your own backyard.

The best light for a casual portrait composition is the early part of the morning or late afternoon.  This means before 10:30am and after 4:30pm in the summer months.  In the fall, the times change to before 3:00pm as the days get shorter.
